Netflix app allows one to stream content from Android smartphones to casting devices such as FireTV Stick, Chromecast, or a TV with DLNA support. In this guide, we will show you can stream Netflix movies and tv series onto such devices.

How to stream Netflix on TV, Fire TV Stick, and Chromecast

Unlike Prime Video’s approach to streaming, Netflix differs on how you stream the content for FireTV Stick. We will talk about that in a bit. If you want to stream blocked content (country restricted), then we sugggest using a VPN built for Netflix.

Step 3: Once connected, select a TV show or movie to watch and press Play. You will have the control to fast forward, rewind, pause, or change the audio or subtitle settings from your mobile device.

Streaming on FireTV Stick

Netflix takes a different approach here by communicating with the Netflix app installed on the FireTV.

Step 1: Make sure you are signed in with the same account on both the devices for this to work. Also, make sure both the devices are on the same WiFi network.

Step 2: Turn on FireTV Stick, and enable the Cast option on your Android Phone. Only when you do this, the cast icon will appear at the bottom right of the Netflix App.

Step 3: Select the show you want to play, or you can start playing a show, and then tap on the cast button.

Step 4: Netflix will instantly start playing the video on the FireTV Stick.

You can now fast forward, rewind, pause, or change the audio or subtitle settings from your mobile device.

When you do this for the first time, it will ask you to select a profile. It will also happen if you have a different profile on both the devices.

Streaming to FireTV Stick isn’t actual streaming. However, it offers excellent control without using the remote. You can search for other series, check out series detail, and more. That’s the reason why its called Netflix 2nd Screen for TVs.

I hope the post was easy to follow, and you were able to stream Netflix on TV, Fire TV Stick, and Chromecast.
