How to Share Whatsapp Status

Step 1: Launch the Whatsapp Messenger application on your smartphone.
Step 2: On the home screen, swipe from right to left, or directly tap on the Status button available on the header to land on the Status Page.
Step 3: To share a photo, video, or GIF, On the status page, click on the Add Status Update button available on the top of the screen.
Step 4: Here, you’ll be prompted with the images present in your gallery, as well as the camera application to capture images and upload to status directly.
Step 5: Once selected, one can add captions to the images by tapping on the Add a caption text present near the send button. Next, click on the Send button present, and the message will be posted as Status.
Step 6: However, if you would like to share a text message, or link instead of clicking on the Add Status button, tap on the pencil icon present near the bottom corner of the screen.
Step 7: Now, type the status text message here or paste it directly from the clipboard.

How to Share Long Videos in WhatsApp Status
Whatsapp status only allows a user to upload a clip with a maximum duration of 30 seconds. However, if there’s a video clip that is longer than 30 seconds, you can post it by splitting them each into durations of 30 seconds. Here’s how to do so:
Step 1: Head over to the Google Play Store, search and download the WhatsCut application.
Step 2: Open the application, click on Trim & Share on Whatsapp, grant the permissions, and continue.
Step 3: Here, you’ll be prompted with the gallery application, choose the desired video which you would like to upload on Whatsapp Status.
Step 4: On the next screen, you’ll see a Video Trimmer screen. Now, Choose the length of the video in this step by dragging the slider present on the screen.
Step 5: Click on Trim and Share on WhatsApp. Next, you’ll be taken to the Whatsapp share screen.
Step 6: On this screen, choose My Status available on the top and click on the -> (send icon)
Step 7: Here, you’ll notice the video is split into multiple parts and ready to send on the Status. Click on the Share button, and you’re good to go.
Alternatively, you could also use a video editing application, trim down the video into multiple 30-second clips manually, and then upload it on Whatsapp.
